Kent State University

Established in 1910 in Kent, Ohio, there is a collaborative effort between the Kent community and Kent State. The One Stop is in the Division Enrollment Management. The pandemic taught Kent State a lot about the needs of our students. It made them ask ourselves how to retain their students through a pandemic. It was through this that they learned post-pandemic and how to continue those efforts. This turned their focus to retention and student success.

One Stop Student Resources. JFOSE is just one of many resources available to the community. Conferences such as ISSP and templates provided by other One Stop models may help better define needs and elaborate on available assets.

Setting Students Up for Success. Students want the path of least administrative resistance as they pursue their education. Understanding student needs is a constant aspect which requires regular review and feedback.

Every request in the system receives a ticket number that we must answer. We must resolve the issue for each ticket within a certain timeframe.... We get the responses from students to improve our service again. It provides an iterative loop for every single question where we serve students.
